Gardening clubs thriving

October 4, 2011: A new survey from the Royal Horticultural Society shows increasing numbers of gardeners are joining gardening clubs with over a quarter of a million people in the UK now belonging to one with the number increasing by 10% in the last two years.

The social side of belonging to a club was cited as one of the main reasons for joining, along with sharing gardening tips and the desire to save money through growing their own vegetables.
